Private beta in 2026 For notarial firms

A workspace for notarial firms.

Lucian brings the calendar, the documents and case tracking together in one place, so nothing has to live in email threads.

The problem

Why Lucian exists

We spent time inside several firms, and the same problems came up every time.

1

Finding a time slot takes days

Getting every party around a single date means calling and chasing each of them, with no overall view of who is available when.

2

Documents are scattered across emails

Each document lands in a different thread, sometimes in several versions. Finding the right one wastes everyone's time.

3

Clients call to ask where things stand

The answer is somewhere in an email, but calling is easier for them. And it's the firm that absorbs those calls.

Before and after

The same case, with and without Lucian.

On the left, what a firm goes through today to close a sale. On the right, the same case inside Lucian.

Today

  • The assistant phones each party in turn to pin down an appointment.
  • Documents arrive across separate email threads, sometimes late, sometimes out of date.
  • The client calls regularly to find out how their case is progressing.
  • Every rescheduled appointment sets off another round of emails.

With Lucian

  • The shared calendar shows the slots where the firm and the parties are all available.
  • The case lists the documents expected: the client uploads, the firm approves, everything is timestamped.
  • Everyone can see where things stand without having to ask.
  • The appointment is confirmed by all and added to their calendars.

The case, seen by the client

The whole case on a single page.

Each party follows the case's main stages: mandate, documents, preliminary sale agreement, conditions lifted, notarial deed.

Sale: Bernard family · Mr Roussel

  1. 1 Mandate signed 12 March 2026
  2. 2 Documents gathered 28 March 2026
  3. 3 Preliminary agreement in progress
  4. 4 Conditions lifted expected May
  5. 5 Notarial deed expected June

Security and confidentiality

What we protect, and how.

Civil-law notaries are bound by professional secrecy. Lucian is built around that constraint.

  1. Hosting in France

Data is hosted in France, with OVHcloud, and never leaves the European Union.

  2. End-to-end encryption

Documents are encrypted at all times. As the software provider, we have no access to their content.

  3. Separation between parties

Each participant reaches the case through a private link and sees only what concerns them.

Lucian opens in 2026.
